Dele Aloko is a lawyer and Human Resource Management professional with over 3 decades working experience as a lawyer and an HR Professional in various industrial and business sectors in Nigeria.
An indigene of Mopa, in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, he attended King’s College, Lagos, where he obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) and proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
He was called to the Nigeria Bar in 1985 and underwent his NYSC Service in Oyo State. After 8 years in private legal practice in Ilorin and Lagos, ‘Dele joined the Shell Petroleum Development Company as a Human Resources Adviser and worked variously in Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt for 21 years, before joining South Atlantic Petroleum (SAPETRO), as General Manager, Corporate Services. Prior to joining The Alpha Mead Group, he was the Chairman of Cranfield Talent Consultants and Cranfield Dry cleaning limited.
Dele is a member of various professional bodies including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and a Fellow of the Mentoring and Career Development Institute (MCDI). Dele’s career has given him a wealth of knowledge and experience in many fields beyond his academic and professional background, including Business Strategy & Planning, Budgets and Financial Management, Contracts Management, Risk & Emergency Response Management, Public Sector Reforms, Corporate Communications, etc.
Dele is the Vice President of the SHRM Nigeria Member Forum (an affiliate of the US based Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has represented Nigeria at various international fora, including the ISO TC260 HR Management professional standards development project. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Oil Producers’ Trade Section (HR Sub-Committee) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is married and with children and enjoys travelling, reading and adventure.
