Chuks Nwasike


Mr Chuks Nwasike is a distinguished legal practitioner of 33 years’ experience with cutting-edge expertise in business and corporate law, investments law, taxation, construction law and tort. He is currently the principal partner of First Counsel Firm, a reputable legal firm which provides advisory services to the World Bank (Doing Business Projects) through the International Finance Corporation. The firm has also served as legal counsel to major Bulgarian companies in Nigeria.

His legal practice experience cuts across a number of firms, including the firm of Joseph I. Obi and Co where he offered assistance to US-based oil service companies in establishing and running their local operations and also offered solicitor’s services to multinational companies such as Ashland Oil Company (Addax Petroleum), Global Offshore Drilling Company, Santa Fe, Sedco Forex, Energy Supply Company (ENSCO Tools and Supplies), KPMG, etc.

He was the founding and principal partner of Chuks Nwasike and Co, a law firm serving the needs of clients in Nigeria’s major hydrocarbon. He has also served as an executive director of Optimised Technologies Limited from 1997 to 2001.
